Flexible parcel delivery

We will inform the recipient of your parcel about delivery in a timely manner. As soon as the ordered products are ready to be shipped, recipients receive an e-mail with delivery information and additional delivery options. For example, even before the first delivery attempt, your recipient can indicate that the parcel can be delivered on another day, that we can deliver it to a Parcel Shop or that it can be delivered with a deposit permission. Even if a parcel is already on its way, the recipient can often still indicate a preference.

By informing your recipient in time about the delivery of a parcel and offering a choice of alternative delivery options, your company saves on customer service costs. After all, there will be fewer customer service contact moments. By offering your customer more flexibility, you also increase customer satisfaction and therefore your company's image.

Choice of delivery options

Recipients can change delivery before or while their parcel is on its way.

Alternative delivery date

The recipient of your parcel can choose an alternative date. For this, they can choose from the five working days after the initial delivery date. Once the new delivery date is chosen, the recipient will be given a time window of three hours on the chosen day within which we will deliver the parcel.

GLS Parcel Shop

The recipient of your parcel can choose a GLS Parcel Shop where we will deliver the parcel directly. There will always be someone in the Parcel Shop to accept the parcel and it can be easily chosen online immediately. For example, it is possible to choose a Parcel Shop on the route to work.

GLS Parcel Shops have long opening hours, allowing your recipients to pick up the parcel at their convenience. The parcel is kept here for a maximum of five working days.

Refuse a parcel

The recipient of your parcel can refuse an order online even before delivery. For example, if the goods have not been ordered or if the purchase of the goods has been cancelled. After the recipient has selected this option, we will send a confirmation by e-mail. We will then send the parcel back to sender.

Deposition permission

With deposit permission, the recipient of your parcel allows us to safely leave the parcel at a pre-selected location.
