Parcel notifications
Be informed from the beginning and influence the delivery.
Exclusively in the case of commercial contracts concluded with legal entities based on individual negotiated offers, GLS informs the recipients via email or text message about the delivery and provides them the possibility to choose from a wide range of delivery options. These options are available right before the first delivery attempt.
You will receive the goods ordered faster and more conveniently, because you can influence the place and time of delivery. You can avoid a delivery attempt at a time when no one is present to accept your shipment.

Message 1 - when the goods are ready for shipment
The company where you placed your order prepares the shipment and sends both shipping information and your email address and/or your mobile number to GLS - if you agreed to this (by accepting the terms and conditions or during the process of placing the order). You will receive an email or text message informing you that shipping is in progress. The message also contains information about the usual delivery time. If you know that there will be no one at the address that day to accept the shipment, you can already choose another delivery option. A link in the email directs you to the GLS Delivery Coordination menu.

Message 2 - when the shipment is in delivery
As soon as the delivery agent scanned the shipment on the morning of the delivery, GLS may set a 3 hour delivery interval. You will then receive a second email or text message stating this delivery interval.

Message 3 - guidance to the delivery options available
If GLS failed to deliver your shipment on the first delivery attempt, you will receive an email or text message, again containing a direct link to the GLS Delivery Coordination menu. Here, you can influence the second shipment delivery attempt according to your wishes.
